Critical value, and p-value Calculation

You are working for Nike and are testing the amount of Nike Air Max 270s being kept in inventory at outlets that sell the shoes. To meet demand, the outlets are supposed to have 55 Air Max 270s in stock at the beginning of the week. You randomly select 32 outlets and check their inventory at the beginning of the week. You find that they had an average of 53 Air Max 270s in stock. Assume you know the population standard deviation of inventory at the beginning of the week to be 8.9 shoes. Use a 5% significance level to test if Nike Air Max 270s are being understocked. Based on your test statistic, critical value, and p-value, which of the following would be the correct conclusion?

Answer:

We cannot reject the null hypothesis and cannot conclude that Nike Air Max 270s are being understocked.
